This time, I take a look at Kavinsky's Nightcall, otherwise known as that song from Drive.

Gaunt's Ghosts - The Founding

Sci fi is an amazing genre, full of depth and possibility.  It offers opportunities for scope and scale.  So why is it that the second best series of sci fi novels out there are a franchise based off Warhammer 40,000's least popular army?  Let's take a look.

Doctor Who - Series 7 Part 2

By the way, dear everyone who's bitching about Peter Capaldi being to old to play the doctor and everyone who's bitching about the people who're bitching about Peter Capaldi being to old and the people that Peter Capaldi is neither black nor a woman, I have a message for you. Now where were we?

Can - Halleluwah

So imagine a german modern classical musician went to New York and met Andy Warhol and more importantly, seen the velvet underground.  So he goes back home and recruits a bunch of friends who don't particularly listen to rock music and they form a rock band.  Their first singer has a nervous breakdown after the release of their first album.  So they recruit a busker off the street despite (or possibly because of) the fact that he knows only three chords and is making up the songs off the top of his head.  With their perfect lineup coalesced they retreat to a castle and record their masterpiece.

Pacific Rim (or: This movie makes no sense and I don't care)

Go see Pacific Rim. Seriously. As your Lawyer, I advise you to go to the cinema, buy yourself a ticket and see Pacific Rim. Nothing else at the cinema will offer you as much fun as this film will in the two hours you spend watching it. Just... Just leave your brains at the door, k?

Yila ft Scroobius Pip - Astronaut

Scroobius Pip first showed up on my radar as he did for most people, at the side of his partner in crime Dan Le Sac on their (still to this day awesome) debut single Thou Shalt Always Kill.  Over time, Pip proved that that was not hyperbole, that he would bring gold on anything he worked on.  So in light of their soon to be released next album, I've been going on a bit of a trawl through their previous tunes.

Grand Theft Auto 4

3 years ago, I posted this review of GTA4.  In light of 5's upcoming release, I wanted to reexamine my thoughts on the games last entry.  So here's my review of GTA4, circa 3 years ago.  Tomorrow, I'm going to reexamine it, seeing what has changed between then and now and what I want from GTA5.

Doctor Who - Series 7 Part 1

BBC America is apparently not happy with the choice of Peter Capaldi as the new doctor. In fact, they're so unhappy that rumour has it they're considering creating an american version of the show.

I mean, of course, it went so well last time they tried.

So beginning my look back at the resurrected Doctor Who I'm going to take a look at the first half of recently concluded season 7 after the jump.

Kanye West - New Slaves

It seems like, once again, Kanye West is intent on causing controversy.  In his latest of his wide accumulation of headlines, he's caught flak for pronouncing his second verse on "New Slaves" to be the greatest rap verse of all time.

Is he right?
